Chris Whitehead, assistant professor of chemistry, published a research article entitled "From Kinetics to Molecular-Level Insights into Group 4 Metal Oxide Nanocrystal Synthesis" in the journal ACS Materials Au, an open access journal of the American Chemical Society. The article looks into the factors that affect the formation of titanium, zirconium, and hafnium oxide nanocrystals. The work was done in collaboration with researchers at the University of Basel in Basel, Switzerland.

Catherine Walker, associate professor of psychology, presented a poster, "You just have to set your mind to it: How weight controllability beliefs drive weight stigma," on behalf of alumna Natalia García Moreno '24 at the International Conference on Eating Disorders with coauthor prof. Cameron Kay in the psychology department.

Psi Chi, the international honour society in psychology, just recognized the Union College chapter of the organization as a model chapter. To quote the award email, "With over 1,150 chapters, your chapter is one of the 40 chapters to achieve the Model Chapter status this year." The description of the award, as well as a list showing Union College as a model chapter for the 2024-2025 academic year, can be found here. The chapter president was Marcus Brem '26, the chapter vice president was Eastwood Yeboah '25, the chapter secretary was Sophia Habler '26, and the chapter treasurer was Sadie White '26. Cameron Kay, visiting assistant professor of psychology, served as the faculty advisor.
